Terms of Service
Effective 17 August 2026.
These terms govern your use of the L-Share service available at share.leunos.com (the “service”). By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
L-Share is open-source software. These terms apply only to this deployed instance at share.leunos.com, not to every copy of the software on the internet. The person or organization that operates this instance is the “operator.”
The service
L-Share lets you upload one allowed file at a time and receive a public link. There are no user accounts. The application server authorizes the upload and then your browser sends the file directly to object storage. The operator does not keep a server-side history of your uploads.
This instance is hosted on Vercel. Uploaded objects are stored with Vercel Blob. The current size limit is 50 MB. Accepted filename extensions are .avif, .csv, .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .json, .m4a, .md, .mov, .mp3, .mp4, .ogg, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .txt, .wav, .webm, .webp, .xls, .xlsx, .zip.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that age is higher, and able to form a binding contract. You may not use the service on behalf of someone who cannot accept these terms.
Public links
Every uploaded file is public. Anyone who obtains the URL can open, download, copy, or redistribute the file. The path is hard to guess, but secrecy of the URL is not access control. Do not upload passwords, private keys, medical or financial records, or any other information that must stay confidential.
An optional shared upload access key, if this instance requires one, only controls who may start a new upload. It does not create an account, make files private, protect existing links, or grant deletion rights.
Your content and responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the files you upload and for everyone you share a link with. You represent that you have all rights needed to upload and publicly distribute the file, and that the file does not violate these terms or applicable law.
You must not upload or use the service to distribute:
- material that is illegal where you are or where the service is operated
- sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers children
- malware, phishing pages, credential-stealing files, or other harmful code
- content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights
- other people’s personal data without a lawful basis and their authorization
- stolen data, or content that facilitates fraud or violent crime
You also must not probe, overload, or disrupt the service, bypass the file type or size rules, attempt to overwrite another upload, or try to obtain another person’s delete key.
L-Share does not inspect file signatures or scan contents for malware. A renamed file can claim an allowed type. Recipients should treat downloads with the same caution they would apply to any file from the public internet.
Deletion and local history
When you upload a file, your browser creates a random delete key. The public link does not contain that key. The key is stored in this browser’s local storage with a short history of recent uploads. Anyone who has the key can permanently delete that file.
Clearing site data, using a private window, switching browsers or devices, or losing this browser profile loses the delete key. The service cannot recover it. The operator can still remove objects through the storage provider’s own tools.
Deletion from L-Share removes the object from the configured store. Copies may remain in recipient devices, browser caches, CDNs, backups, or logs. The service does not expire files automatically.
Operator rights
The service is provided as-is and may change, break, or stop without notice. There is no uptime commitment and no guarantee that a file will remain available. The operator may refuse, remove, or disable any upload or access, including for legal, security, abuse, or capacity reasons, and may report unlawful material to the relevant authorities.
Storage quotas, bandwidth, retention, and pricing follow Vercel and the configured object store. If this instance is public and has no upload access key, anyone can consume that storage.
Intellectual property
You keep whatever rights you already have in files you upload. You grant the operator a limited permission to host, transmit, cache, and display those files solely to operate the service and serve the public links you create.
The L-Share name, interface, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. These terms do not give you any right to the operator’s marks or to the software beyond using this instance.
Copyright complaints
If you believe a file on this instance infringes your copyright, contact the operator with the file URL, a description of the work, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. The operator does not warrant that files will be stored securely against anyone who has the link, that deletion will erase every copy, or that the service is free of errors or interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or substitute services, arising out of your use of the service or a public link. The operator’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to zero, or the minimum amount that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limit is prohibited, or any non-waivable consumer rights.
Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold the operator harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your uploads, your sharing of a public link, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent a claim is caused by the operator’s own willful misconduct.
Privacy
How this instance processes information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and termination
The operator may update these terms by posting a new version at this URL. The “Effective” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the revised terms. You may stop using the service at any time. The operator may stop offering the service at any time.
Provisions that by their nature should survive — including public-link warnings, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity — remain in effect after you stop using the service.
General
These terms are the entire agreement between you and the operator for this instance. If a court finds a provision unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. The operator’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms. The operator may assign them in connection with a transfer of the instance.
These terms are governed by the laws that apply to the operator of this instance, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law of your country says otherwise. Informal resolution is preferred. If a dispute proceeds to court, it will be heard in a forum that has jurisdiction over the operator, unless the law requires another forum.
